2025 Databases - Jean Anderson

WPLC OverDrive & Magazines - The last two years, the WPLC has budgeted $100,000 for magazines and the actual cost came in at $80,000 both years. This left a $40,000 surplus in that line. The Board voted to use the $40,000 towards digital content.   Due to a change in how OverDrive handles magazine circulation, the WPLC Board revisited the formula used to determine the fees to the library systems. The WPLC Board reviewed two budget options for the magazines and decided to use the buying pool formula (25% population and 75% collection - not magazine - usage) for the magazines.

SCLS Advantage Budget Vote: 1 library, 1 vote.  The directors voted and the consensus was $40,000 to be budgeted for next year.  The second highest vote was $30,000, third was $34,000 and lastly $25,000.
