4. Discussion
a. Updates from previous meeting
i. List of Known Bootlegs
1. Discussion: The list was posted as part of the Linking Manual (Appendix N). This is not a comprehensive list. There is a Bootleg DVD section in the manual that goes through how to spot Bootlegs, what to do with them, etc.
b. Linking Manual Update – clarify Criterion Collection language
i. Discussion: K. Linke reported that this collection releases titles that include both the DVDs and Blu-Ray version. The manual language should make it clear that those will need to circulate separately. K. Linke reviewed the changes made to the multi-part DVDs section for the Criterion Collection.
c. Update on ILS Evaluation
i. Discussion: A. Gannaway updated the Evaluation plan posted on web site. The Discovery Layer demos from Bibliocommons and Aspen were recorded and the recordings have been posted. We received the Vendor demo follow-up answers and those have also been posted to the webpage. A. Gannaway mentioned the upcoming site visits to Pewaukee and Beaver Dam that will focus on Circulation and Cataloging for Polaris. The Technical Services virtual site visit has also been scheduled for Polaris (Acq and Ser). Finding a location to visit in-person for SirsiDynix has been difficult. A. Gannaway reached out to Detroit and hasn’t heard back. We are meeting with SWAN in Illinois (suburban libraries outside of Chicago) to see where they are at with BlueCloud. (They are piloting BlueCloud and SymphonyWeb.) The topical workgroup meetings will be scheduled for November/December.
d. Other Bibliovation questions and discussion
i. Discussion: K. Hull asked if Bibliocommons and Aspen would work with Bibliovation. A. Gannaway reported the vendors would have to build a connector for us and we would most likely have to pay LibLime for development. No libraries are currently using either with Bibliovation.
5. Plan for the Next meeting: November 13, 2024, at 9:30 am via phone/video conference
6. Adjournment at 9:44 am
