NOTE: Anyone attending a meeting in person, or visiting SCLS Headquarters, will be required to wear a mask.  SCLS staff will be attending committee meetings in person.  Future changes to this plan will be based on health recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Public Health Madison & Dane County.

3. Action Items

a. Approve Charge: Workgroup will determine directions for fee and budget development into the future.

b. Approve Tenets

i. There is an advantage to the community as a whole if all SCLS libraries participate in the ILS and SCLS network

ii. Technology, Network and ILS services should have separate fees

iii. Factors used in the formulas will be taken from easily accessible data

iv. The formula will generate fees to cover the costs of the services included

v. Continue to invest enough for current and future services

a. Review current fee documents

b. Possible items to review:

i. Envisionware fees

1. Eliminate first year

2. Eliminate RFID pad support (part of RFID initiative)

ii. Other ideas?

iii. For 2024: will probably review network fees (SCLSasISP; wireless, etc.)

3. Plan for Next meeting:  Wednesday, February 16 at 10:30 am
