i. Talking points
1. Discussion: V. Teal Lovely reviewed the survey results and talking points. She sent the document out via email before the meeting and changes were made as a group. What is changing with Multi-part DVDs? Why are we making this change? What are the benefits for patrons? We will post the Talking Points document on the web site and alert staff to where they can find it.
ii. Info slip/bookmark
1. Discussion: H. Oliversen displayed the draft of the info slip/bookmark. We created one for Local Holds but has not yet been added to Printable PDFs web page in LINKcat because the project is still in pilot phase. When the text is finalized, D. Haeffner will provide the formatting in the style of our other bookmarks. SCLS staff will print a small batch and get them out to libraries in delivery. A copy will be added to the LINKcat Printable PDFs page so that libraries can print more as needed for their patrons. H. Oliversen will create a google document with the text so this group can comment and provide revisions. She will send out the link today after this meeting. The deadline for changes in this by Friday at noon. She will submit the final version to D. Haeffner Friday afternoon. We will ask H. Moe to print, cut and send them out in delivery next week.
b. Retro for single library who owns title (REE pilot)??
i. SCLS provides report of unique DVD TV series titles to Library or Library runs on demand report
ii. Library fills out online form to inform Madison that Library is ready to merge a particular title (one title per form)
1. Discussion: S. Kucher received a report from SCLS of TV series for which REE is the only holding library. They will repackage 20 items to start and keep track of the amount of staff time that used. This will help us see the time commitment for library staff and MAD catalogers to do a retroactive packaging project. Repackaging will depend on how many items come up in the next three to five months for REE. This is a pilot project and libraries should wait until they receive the go ahead to start doing retro items. The Workgroup will discuss this at future meetings.
5. Plan for Next meetings: September 27, 2022 at 1 pm via phone/video conference (4th Tuesday at 1 pm)
6. Adjournment at 11:18 am.
